Loraine James

This project is part of the "Carte Blanche" initiative, which I lead at Ubisoft. I select artists from diverse backgrounds and invite them to create original works (video, 3D, CGI, illustration, etc.) that reinterpret Ubisoft's video game worlds.
I gave complete creative freedom to Loraine James, a renowned London-based composer and producer. Loraine was granted full access to our music, soundtrack, and SFX library. She created a unique audio composition, by arranging key themes and reusing audio elements from the game.
In her piece, the gunshots from Splinter Cell became drumbeats.
The sword clashes from Assassin's Creed turned into melodic rhythms.
We supported her vision by visually reimagining our games, which reacted dynamically to her music. On July 18th, 2024, Loraine performed this one-of-a-kind creation live in Paris.
