Assassin’s Creed Architecture
This project is part of the "Carte Blanche" initiative, which I lead at Ubisoft. I select artists from diverse backgrounds and invite them to create original works (video, 3D, CGI, illustration, etc.) that reinterpret Ubisoft's video game worlds.
For this project, I commissioned YouandPea, architects and lecturers specializing in video game urbanism, to develop a "Carte Blanche" around one of Ubisoft’s intellectual properties.
They chose to create an architectural model based on the game Assassin's Creed Unity. We then collaborated with the Fondation Pinault - Bourse de Commerce to film and showcase the model there, as it serves as a focal point of the project and is also a significant building within the game itself.
In this video, YouandPea present a compact parkour model of the Assassin and explore the relationship between architecture in the game, the unique way players experience the city of Paris, and how video games can transcend boundaries to make architectural design more accessible to a broader audience.
